Silverado Vineyards has a magnificent tasting room on a hilltop aerie (almost as steep a climb via bicycle as Rombauer!), helpful hosts who open up with interest shown, and I find their cabs more classic-less oaky and more balanced.</p><p>I think three stars is a fair review, as Pine Ridge is indeed nice.</p>BrianSat, 07 Apr 2007 02:28:28 -0000http://www.uncork29.com/blog/2007/04/04/a-review-of-the-pine-ridge-winetasting-experience/#comment-13317128<p>Tim--the $$ wasn't the only thing that prevented us from going with four corks for the overall rating. For whatever reason, we just didn't feel the 'wow' factor while we were on-site.
